Another year has passed and we’re not getting any younger!
2014 has been nothing but bad for many people around the world. On a personal level this year has been very average. At the end of 2014 I finally got a part-time christmas job thanks to my volunteering experience. I decided to volunteer at a local charity in Glasgow because I was constantly being rejected for jobs purely because I did not have any experience. I love volunteering at the charity shop and the people there are so kind. I prefer it so much more than the job I have at the moment (it’s temporary so I probably won’t be kept on after the new year).
My grades at university have been good and I even joined a society! I’m proud that I got the courage to join a society and actually turn up at the meetings! The very first meeting was so difficult for me to go to because I was too scared I couldn’t talk to anyone or I’d be alone whilst everyone else made their own social groups. Thankfully, we just watched videos for our first meeting.
For 2015 I do have a lot of things that I want to do but I’m not sure how much of it I’ll achieve. I was unsuccessful in getting the internship I wanted so I’ll spend the next few months applying for other ones. I want to take TOPIK but I’ve yet had time to study for it. I have my heart set on taking the TEFL course in the summer (my boyfriend bought me a TEFL book for my christmas). I also need to save up money to get a flat in september (which is when me and my boyfriend have to move out of our current one) which isn’t too expensive and I can pay monthly instead of fixed payments every 3 months or so.
I plan to make another post regarding this blog because I’m going to be making some changes to it.
I hope you have a happy new year wherever you are in the world! See you in 2015! 🙂
